FOR DISCIPLINED DAILY TREKKERS | Requirement: Can walk 2 miles in 30 minutes or less. Exercise at least 30 minutes, 3-5 days weekly. No injuries.

3.2 miles – Hike through the picturesque forest, along the flowing Glacier Creek trail. Parts of
the trail are rocky, narrow, and elevated, overlooking the water. The steady incline requires extra
energy exertion at some points. The trail may be slippery at some points, due to humidity and
condensation. At about .6 mile, there is a sharp left-hand turn that heads straight up the mountain
side, for a steep climb. There is an optional trail switchback which makes the climb less steep
and takes more time. At the top is the grave of 18-year-old Edwin Bradt, an avid hiker. The
mailbox beyond the grave, for hikers to log memories, has breathtaking views. The climb to the
mailbox may require some crawling on hands and knees.

Check in at the Adventure Squad Desk outside of the Longhouse auditorium (Liberation Lounge) at least 10 minutes prior to the start time to meet your hike leader, receive instruction, and be escorted to the trailhead.

NOTES: Do not wear shoes that you don’t want to get dirty. Supportive closed-toe hiking boots
with ankle support and good traction (NO UGGS). Long sleeves, pants, and wool/wool blend
socks (no footies). Head covering (hat, cap, bandana) for protection from the sun and bugs.
Water, sunscreen, insect repellant/essential oils, allergy meds (if you have allergies). No heavy
perfumes, body lotion, or sprays. Protective eyewear, mask, gaiter/buff, rain poncho.
